Steel Resonator Guitars

I didn't know where to put this but decided it was something to be filed away for story material. I'm watching Antiques Roadhouse Vintage Chicago, and they are featuring a pair of National Steel Resonator Guitars. Start at 43:40. The guitars are actually made of brass with a shiny steel finish.

According to Wikipedia "Resonator guitars were originally designed to be louder than regular acoustic guitars, which were overwhelmed by horns and percussion instruments in dance orchestras. They became prized for their distinctive tone, however, and found life with bluegrass music and the blues well after electric amplification solved the problem of inadequate volume."

Basically, if you can salvage the metal to make resonator guitars, rock and roll will never die.

Here is a picture of the instrument Sophie mentions

I wonder, will homemade musical instruments make a comeback in the Collapse?

Currently most musical instruments are the work of master craftspersons but I can remember growing up when people played washboards strapped to their chests, or a washtub as a bass. I wonder what other common items will fill the role of musical instrument in the Long Descent.
