Canadian Prairie Cherries

Interesting, a sour cherry that can survive at -40C. It's shrub-like, with intense color and flavor.

Note-worthy not just for the fruit itself, but for the people who developed it. Very cool.

And the take away for me is: Just keep re-planting my best and they will be acted upon, selected by nature.

Plant-breeding should be part of Green Wizard lore. Right along side collecting heritage plants. We can guess about the impact of climate change. I expect Wizards will have to know how to adapt plants to any environment.
