Hello Green Wizards!

Many of you are quite familiar with the work of Shaun Kilgore through his publishing company Founders House. He is the man behind publishing the complete set of the Archdruid Report, the After Oil anthologies, JMG's novels including those set in the Haliverse, as well as Catherin McGuire's novel and also Mythic Fiction Magazine as well as his own titles and those of some other writers. I really commend him and am thankful for what he is doing & he wants to do more of it. To that end he has set up a patreon page for those who would like to contribute to his efforts. As someone who wants to see the field of deindustrial and cli-fi literature grow I signed up. It doesn't have to be much, you can give as little as 1, 3, 5 dollars ...but the more who contribute, the closer he will be to reaching his goal. And if he reaches his goal there will be another publisher in the world dedicated to furthering the work of the genre dear to our hearts, as well as Science Fiction & Fantasy in general.

"Hi everyone. I'm Shaun Kilgore, the owner and publisher of Founders House Publishing doing as much as I can on a part-time basis—while keeping the company debt-free. I started this company in 2009 to publish my own books as well as those of other writers who I partnered with to help them create and refine their work. I began with co-authored books with local people to tell local stories. Since then I've added writers like John Michael Greer, Ralph Meima, Catherine McGuire, George R. Fehling, among others. I also edit the short fiction magazine called MYTHIC: A Quarterly Science Fiction & Fantasy Magazine, a Founders House project.

I want to do more, but I need more time.

Why Patreon?

I want to give readers and fans of the books and authors the chance to partner with me. My current job places limits on my time—and those job conditions as well as other outside factors have been changing and making it more difficult so I would like to leave my current job. With your patronage, I could focus more of my time on the daily tasks involved in this business including:

writing
reading submissions
editing
proofreading
designing books covers and interiors
providing personal attention and good customer service
developing future projects
advertisement/promotions

The funds from your regular support will cover common regular expenses like rent, utilities, groceries, medication, and health Insurance—basically what I need to do this work."

Shaun is a great editor and publisher, and supporting is a good way to help get out the stories Green Wizards need to tell as we begin the Long Descent.

As a writer, I especially like his "An Editor's Feedback" pledge. For less than a dollar a day, you can have a experienced editor read your works (up to 10,000 words a month) and offer advice and feedback. He has only 4 of these left! He had 5 but I just bought one.

You aren't going to find a better deal and more valuable resource, than one of these. Of course if you can't go that large, please contribute what you can.
