Folks here might be interested, just found a video documentary featuring Juliette de Bairacli Levy, the herbalist who wrote such classics as 'Herbal handbook for farm and stable'. The dvd is for sale here for $25, I hadn't realized before that it existed. For me it's fascinating to see the person who wrote the books. She tells the story in the clips of how she trained, travelling all over Europe to study the wisdom of peasants and travelling people and their health and that of their animals and learning how they used herbs.
