I thought it shed possible light on modes of treatment for many diseases that do not use anti-biotics, but pro-biotics; to strengthen the immune system rather than try for silver bullet knock-outs of single organisms. It suggested a systems approach to human and animal health and the pathways that link the each to each other's microflora. Nothing was said about hantavirus, spread by rodents, or spirochete-caused disorders such as venereal and Ebola germs--but there might also be an application there, with proper research.
